Alex

Hi! My name is Alex, my instagram is @alexkimikoo. 

I’m currently an apprentice at Les! I do handpoke tattoos and I’m currently focusing on ornamental pieces but will begin introducing a more abstract style. I’ve been an apprentice for a year and working on skin for four months in November. 

I’ve always loved art but I never thought I’d be able to do art full time as a career. This apprenticeship has been such a blessing and I am forever grateful for the opportunity, my mentor and the artists in the shop that have been so inspiring and supportive. 

My goal in each session is to create a comfortable and fun environment! I want every client to feel that they can take their time when we’re figuring out placement/sizing and feel seen and heard. My family and I have a background in the practice of Reiki and I want nothing more than to implement the core values of this practice in tattooing. I believe in the power or intention and I aim for love to be put into every piece that I do. I hope to create a healthy and safe line of communication with everyone coming in to get tattooed so that they feel safe coming to me about their ideas or concerns before and after our session! 

I have flaming ADHD and working one dot at a time works so well with the way my brain! And although I love hand poking I am revisiting the machine and hoping to learn how to do traditional Tebori tattooing. I don’t have a specific style yet and I’m stoked to explore various types of tattooing! 

Outside of the shop I love cooking, family time, video games, obsessing over a new project every month and long walks on the beach lol.
